Bayvantic product informationBayvantic® Vet. spot-on solution for dogs(1 ml contains 100 mg imidacloprid and 500 mg permethrin)Indications: For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations for 4 weeks. The preparation can be used as part of the treatment strategy for flea-induced allergic dermatitis. For the treatment of fur lice. The preparation has a persistent acaricidal and repellent effect against tick attacks for up to 4 weeks. Reduces the likelihood of ehrlichiosis from day 3 after treatment and up to 4 weeks. It is recommended to remove ticks before treatment. One treatment has a repellent ("anti-bloodsucking") effect on sandflies for up to 3 weeks, on mosquitoes for up to 4 weeks and on ordinary biting flies for 4 weeks. Attachment of individual ticks or bites from individual sandflies or mosquitoes may occur.Dosage: Only for use on the skin. 1.5-4 kg: 1 pipette of 0.4 ml; 4-10 kg: 1 pipette of 1.0 ml; 10-25 kg: 1 pipette of 2.5 ml; 25-40 kg: 1 pipette of 4.0 ml. For dogs over 40 kg, an appropriate combination of pipettes is used.Contraindications: Do not use for cats, as it is extremely toxic to them. Cats must not lick the treated dog's application site. See a vet immediately if this happens. Puppies under 7 weeks and 1.5 kg should not be treated. Should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or one or more of the excipients.Side effects: In very rare cases, transient skin reactions, redness at the application site and lethargy can be seen in dogs. The dogs may show behavioral changes, gastrointestinal symptoms and neurological reactions if the dog is sensitive to permethrin. Symptoms are usually transient and require no treatment.Pregnancy and lactation: Can be used during pregnancy and lactation.Precautions: Avoid the contents of the pipette coming into contact with the dog's eyes or mouth. Do not allow recently treated animals to lick each other. The preparation is harmful to organisms in the water.Special precautions: Treated animals should be handled with care until the application site is dry (applies especially to children). Recently treated animals should not be allowed to sleep with their owners/household children.
