The first Dragen was built in 1929 in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Dragon's sailing characteristics were so good that the boat was used practically all over the world, especially in Europe. Over time, the Dragon was gradually modified so that today only the hull is original. In 1948, the Dragon was made an Olympic class boat and all goals were set by the International Yachting Federation.
