Psyllium seed is a complementary feed for horses grazing on sparse pastures, kept in sand paddocks, or otherwise ingesting sand, soil, or grit. Psyllium forms gel-like fibres when in contact with liquid, helping to remove sand, soil, and grit from the intestines.
